In Episode 3, Saladin captures Princess Victoria and the headmaster. Gabriel rushes to their rescue, but Salahuddin demands the return of Askalan and all prisoners in exchange for their release. Princess Victoria refuses to be exchanged, revealing she is King Baldwin’s sister and Gabriel’s lover.

In an attempt to settle the matter, Gabriel proposes a one-on-one fight with Salahuddin. Suraiya Hatun’s warrior, Shahsuvar Ashkalan, shoots Gabriel from behind, forcing him to back down. Salahuddin seizes the opportunity and takes the prisoners.

King Baldwin, blaming Gabriel for Princess Victoria’s capture, intervenes in Askalan, capturing Gabriel’s soldiers. Gabriel pleads with King Baldwin for another chance to resolve the issue and seeks help from his brother Gregor.

Imad inquires about the safety of bringing prisoners, including Princess Victoria and the headmaster. Salahuddin informs Imad that the prisoners will be brought through Mount Hermon, a crucial piece of information. Ezzeddin, present during this conversation, hears the plan.

Gabriel approaches Ezzeddin, offering him a job in the palace and threatening him with proof of betrayal. Ezzeddin agrees to work for Gabriel, unknowingly falling into a trap. Gabriel sends soldiers to rescue the captives.

Salahuddin uses this trap to prove to Sultan Nooruddin that there is a traitor in the palace, revealing treacherous information. Gabriel attempts to exchange information and hostages, but Sultan Nooruddin refuses.

A last-ditch threat from Gabriel backfires, giving Ezzeddin one last chance to help rescue the prisoners or face exposure as a traitor. Sultan Nooruddin gives Salahuddin one day to find the traitor. Salahuddin sets another trap, but Melik Nusreddin informs Gabriel about it, leading to an alliance between Nusreddin and Gabriel.

Gabriel approaches Suraiya Hatun, offering to release Halil if she helps remove Salahuddin from the prisoners’ position. Suraiya Hatun initially resists but eventually agrees, lying to remove Salahuddin from the captives’ group.

As Salahuddin leaves the fortress, a masked crusader storms in to rescue the prisoners. Sultan Nooruddin confronts the masked prisoners but is seriously injured when the masked Sultan strikes him with a spear.
